Zoe Saldana was born on the 19th of June, 1978, in Passaic, New Jersey, to Asalia Nazario and Aridio Saldana. Her father is Dominican and her mother Puerto Rican. Her mother is from Puerto Rico and her father was Dominican. The family she was born into relocated to the Dominican Republic at the age of 10 where they would be for seven years. Zoe's interest in dance was piqued while they were in the Dominican. Zoe started her dance training through ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy. In addition to offering a way to express creatively the energetic and passionate youngster the dance lessons she received would prove to be an important precursor in her beginning acting profession. When she was 17 years old, Zoe and her family moved back in her home in the United States where her love for dancing grew and her enthusiasm for theater performances grew greater. Zoe has not only held her own in big motion picture projects, but has also earned admiration and respect from industry professionals like Jerry Bruckheimer and Steven Spielberg and actresses/actors like Tom Hanks, Bernie Mac, Keira Knightley, Ashton Kutcher, Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom. A lot of the co-stars and producers feel that the sky is not her only limit. She is a versatile variety of skills, intense focus and a unwavering desire to tackle projects that have various characters and subject matter. Next up, Deutch is set to reunite with writer Katie Silberman for their second romantic comedy, Most Dangerous Game. Deutch, Silberman and Set It Up (2018) were earlier a part of a trio.
