Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin, a Canadian-New Zealander actor. Paquin is a native of Canada and New Zealand-born actress. Born in Winnipeg but raised in Wellington She was the first actress to appear as a character in The Piano. In this romance film, at the age of 11 years old, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. As a result of an audition, Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter a Scottish piano player. Flora McGrath is the daughter of a muted Scottish musician who came to New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. The actress moved from New Zealand to United States as a teen. Paquin appeared as Jane Eyre's title character as an teen in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) as well as the lead role for the character in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin played a minor role in the TV film of 1997 adaption of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding. The actress also played the queen of Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (2007). The role she played was for teenagers on Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000) and A Walk on the Moon (2000). She played her character groupie Polexia Aphrodisa on Almost Famous (2000).
