Lucy Liu is a voice actress, director and singer. She's also an actress. She is an attractive, talented actress who has helped numerous Asian actors to succeed in Hollywood. An early string of success roles in a popular TV show led to her becoming well-known for her part in the character of Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. In the wake of a rapid rise in her popularity, she got roles on the big screen such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Then, she gave an an excellent performance in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese criminal O Ren Ishii. In addition, she played lead roles in box office failures such as Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated films like Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell as well as others, she voiced prominent characters. Mia Mason's role as a character in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't produce results. A recurring role in the critically acclaimed police drama Southland helped re-establish herself as an established actress. Liu is careful when choosing roles in order to avoid being a stereotype in a field that is highly competitive. Liu has accepted her Chinese roots but hasn't let it restrict her creativity.
